Always on a Sunday

"I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show." ~Andrew Wyeth

Why never on a Monday? Wednesday, even. I'm not that picky.

*these are over at flickr as well, but since I'm an idiot who can't figure out how to upload them from flickr to here, this will have to do.

Didn't you guys have a Valentine's Day snow or ice event? That was in the middle of the week. I remember last year though it always did happen on the weekend! Frustrating.

Oh, it was in the low 70's today here in Savannah. I walked all over town. It was nice. :)I do miss snow though.

I suggest staying in the house and drinking.

I like pictures of snow. Just the pictures, not the actual snow.

zandria: I just don't understand why the weather can't cooperate and blast us on like Tuesday mid-morning and then have it continue for three days. I miss upstate NY.

mappyb: do not come over here with your reef wearing in the middle of February self. Gah. Jealous.

suebob: I would have done so had I not been drunk for four nights straight.

dagny: I don't mind the snow when I get to be holed up inside all day. That's awesome.

what better excuse than to stay home and do NOTHING!!! All we get is freezing temps and no snow. Ugh.

Oh my God...

So, would you want to punch me in the face if I told you that it's in the mid-70s outside right now? And when I ran this morning I was sweating and desperately wishing it was about 10 degrees cooler?

That poem, coupled with those dreamy winter pictures, makes me wish I lived somewhere snowy. For a few minutes, anyway.

Pretty pictures!

Alex was overjoyed by the snow. He likes to plant his face in it and scoot himself along, snow plow-style.

Oooo la la. These ARE pretty. We don't get snow like that in Dallas.

Also, re: Flickr.

Go to "all sizes" and choose which size you want to use on your site. Beneath the picture will be HTML that you can insert. Insert it.
